This week I am promoting the two authors who are featured in the authors’ network magazine: Wonderful Read of the Month. Please take a look at their author bio here, supplied by the authors themselves, then pop in to read their full interviews by clicking the above link.

Carlyle Labuschagne was born and has always resided in the city of Johannesburg South Africa, the largest made made urban forest in the world, which might or might not have played a role in her obsession with trees. Her fist serious writing experience came at the age of twelve whilst on Safari holiday, inspired by the beauty of nature and a tree she wrote he first poem entitled Apocalypse. For many years Carlyle wrote poems, and songs, wrote creative journals without considering publication. Carlyle has always been a creative soul, painting, drawing, drama classes, and figure-skating.

Author Carlyle Labuschagne

At high school she started her first novel, but was incomplete due to her brother moving out with the only PC they had. It wasn’t until later after traveling the world,   studying towards a degree in marketing and working that Carlyle decided to write a novel Nov 2009. Her first draft was awful according to her and she decided to further enrich her  knowledge of Novel writing. She completed her Diploma in record time with the Writing School at College SA late 2010, rewrote her manuscript in four weeks and submitted the first unrevised draft to about five  publishing houses during the first few moths of 2011.

Carlyle’s début novel The Broken Destiny is set to release early 2012 and is currently finished her first draft of Evanescent A broken Novel at 100K words. Carlyle divides her time between her family of two young sons’ and her loving husband. She works as a marketing consultant by day and writes during the early morning hours. What many don’t know about her, is that Carlyle is Afrikaans speaking and has through reading and writing learning to master the English language. You can look forward to many project from this lovely Author in the future. She also runs a book blog and an African blog, both blogs boasting the talents and supporting her craft and just about anything that she is passionate about, which is just about anything life has to offer.
